Elaine Velasquez Garza, 66, of New Braunfels, TX, passed away on September 20, 2026.

She was born on April 12, 1960 in New Braunfels. She recently retired from Pain Care Physicians located in Austin and San Marcos. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and playing mahjong on her tablet.

She is survived by her daughter Alexandria (Garza) Lavey, Son-in-law Derek and her granddog Bruce. Her mother Angelita Velasquez, siblings Olga Nasis and husband Berk, Sylvia Benitez and husband Richard plus nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ramon Velasquez.

A celebration of life will be held on October 1, 2026 at Sunset Memorial Oaks funeral home in New Braunfels, Texas, at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at the San Marcos City Cemetery.
