In Loving Memory of Edwin Hernandez

Edwin Hernandez was born on September 28, 1950, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. He passed away suddenly on August 27, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas, at the age of 75.

Edwin was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Antonio Hernandez, and his mother, Carmen Anna Rivera Hernandez. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Gayle Elaine Curran Hernandez; his sister, Carmen Hernandez Hall, and her husband, Cliff Hall; and his brother, Pete Hernandez, and his wife, Anita Hernandez.

Edwin was the proud and loving father of two children: his daughter, Jessica Hernandez Lantz, and her husband, Brian Lantz; and his son, Jeremy Hernandez, and his wife, Amanda Hernandez.

He was also blessed with several beloved grandchildren: Cheyenne Collins and her wife, Katherin Hodet; Zack Lantz; Jarred Lantz; Lauren Reding and her husband, Ben Reding; Madison Hernandez and her significant other, Zach Beekmann; Kameron Arthur; and Karson Hernandez. Edwin was also the proud great-grandfather of Mikhalio Hodet and Julian Sar.

Edwin had many interests and passions throughout his life. He loved listening to music and collecting albums. He enjoyed working on computers, collecting speakers and other stereo equipment, and researching his family’s genealogy. Edwin graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, Massachusetts, in 1969.

Above all, Edwin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He had a deep love for his family and friends and will always be remembered for the love he shared with those around him.

Edwin will always be loved and missed dearly by his family. We will never forget you, and you will be sorely missed. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
