Eduardo "Lalo" Peña was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. After a long battle with health issues, he passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2024 at the age of 53, surround by his family and loved ones.

Lalo graduated in May 1988 from Brackett High School in Brackettville, Tx. Shortly after graduation, he joined the US Navy and was stationed in San Diego, Ca, and Long Beach, Ca, with a brief stay in Hawaii. Later in life, he became a licensed electrician by trade. Lalo was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, a love which he shared with his children. His greatest accomplishments were his children and grandsons.

Eduardo was the son of Esteban and Emilia Peña. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jesus Peña, brother-in-law Silverio Resendez, and sister-in-law Gabriela Peña.

He is survived by: his wife, Monica Rodriguez of San Antonio, Tx; his daughter, Yasmin (Jesse) Peckham of Sherman, Tx; his son, Eduardo J. Peña of Brownwood, Tx; his son, Aiden Martinez of Brackettville, Tx; his sisters, Maria (David) Garza & Rebecca Resendez, both of Brackettville, Tx; his brother, Esteban (Jovita) Peña of Del Rio, Tx; his brother, Enrique Peña of Corpus Christi, Tx; his brother, Jose Peña of Brackettville, Tx; his grandsons, Jaxon Hummel & Logan Peckham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Eduardo "Lalo" Peña will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Brackettville, Tx on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 5pm-8pm. Church service will be on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 11am at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery.
