Edna G. Richardson, born Edna Behrman, passed away peacefully at her home on September 14, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born at home on April 28, 1934, in Fayetteville, Illinois, the sixth of seven children.

After her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, she graduated from Labrador Catholic High School. During her senior year, she met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Richardson, at her brother's wedding. Despite not owning their own transportation, they found a way to build their relationship while Bob was stationed at Scott Air Force Base.

Edna completed IBM keypunch school after high school, and soon after their engagement, Bob received military orders for Baumholder, Germany. They moved up their wedding date, and she later joined him in Germany. Their life together was a journey, moving with Bob's military career to places like Fort Lee, Virginia; Fairbanks, Alaska; and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While Bob served in Vietnam, he moved the family to Illinois to be near Edna's family. This was the only time they were separated for an extended period. After his return, their adventures continued, taking them to Texas, Italy, Korea, and eventually back to Texas upon his retirement from the military. They continued to move during their Civil Service years, living in Germany and Kansas before finally retiring in San Antonio, Texas.

Edna and Bob were married for 49 years before he passed away in 2004. In 2006, she moved to New Braunfels, Texas. She was known for her deep faith and kind heart, touching many lives. Throughout her life, she enjoyed exercising and staying fit, making many wonderful friends in the Sattler area. She was a proud mom, a boastful grandma, and a blessed great-grandma. We will forever carry her love in our hearts and cherish our memories of her.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Elizabeth Behrman; her husband, Robert Richardson; her grandson, Joseph Gentry Richardson; her brothers, Virgil, Elmer, Eugene, and Theodore Behrman; and her sister, Elizabeth Gremaud. She is also preceded by her brothers-in-law George and James Richardson, her sister-in-law Carol Moore, and her nephews Dennis and Gregg Behrman, and niece Danielle Richardson. She is survived by her children, Michael Richardson (Beth), Thomas Richardson (Marcia), Patty Willett (Jerry), and Todd Richardson (Elizabeth). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (Rachel), Robert, Emily (Mark), Todd (Christina), Michael, Grace, Holly, Christine, and Nathan; her great-grandchildren, Atleigh, Lexee, James, Megan, Zenlie, Lachlyn, and Ellie; her sister, Rita Huskey; and her sister-in-law, Anna Richardson. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 10, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, located at 415 S. Business 35, New Braunfels, TX, 78130. A reception will follow at Rudy's Bar-B-Q, 844 Loop 337, New Braunfels.

A Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle, 180 St. Thomas Dr., Canyon Lake, on Saturday, October 11, at 10:00 am.
