Douglas McArthur Boone passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 81 in his home in Sealy, Texas. He was born in Del Rio, Texas on July 27, 1943, to the parents of Lewellen R. Boone and Grace Blythe Boone.

Douglas was the youngest of five children. He was a son, brother, uncle and friend. He was never married. He worked at Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio., Texas for over 20 years. He spent the last four years living with his brother James, and sister-in-law Barbara. He enjoyed going fishing and watching old westerns.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, Lewellen and Grace Boone, his sisters Josephine and Jeanette, and his brother Bobbie. Douglas passed only one hour before his brother, James.

Douglas leaves behind his sister-in-law Barbara Boone, his nephews Jason Bonne and Billy Hayes, and his wife, nieces Dawn Moore and Elizabeth Rich, and her husband, three great-nieces, two great-nephews, one great-great niece, and one great-great nephew, as well as other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Westlawn Cemetery.
