Obituary

Dora Elia Flores, age 88, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 17, 2026.

Born on April 1, 1938, in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, Dora lived a life marked by faith, sacrifice, perseverance, and unconditional love. From humble beginnings and a childhood filled with hardship, she developed a strength and resilience that would define her life and become an enduring example to her family.

On October 1, 1955, she married the love of her life, Gumercindo Flores. Together they shared more than seventy years of marriage, building a home rooted in faith, hard work, and devotion to family.

Dora was the loving mother of five children: Juan Carlos Flores, who preceded her in death; Gumercindo Flores Jr.; Dora Patricia Cobos, who preceded her in death; Maricela Flores; and Liliana Flores. She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother whose love extended across generations.

To know Dora was to know love expressed through acts of service. She had a special gift for cooking, and through every meal she prepared, she nourished not only bodies but hearts. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome. She was talented in painting, sewing, and creating with her hands, using her many gifts to bless those around her.

Above all, Dora was a faithful warrior and servant of God. Her faith sustained her through life's many joys and trials, and she remained steadfast in her love for the Lord. Her greatest desire was that her children, grandchildren, and future generations would know and serve God.

Dora will be remembered for her strength, generosity, perseverance, and unwavering devotion to her family. She lived a life of sacrifice and service, always placing the needs of others before her own. Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the hope that she now rests in the eternal peace and presence of her Savior.

Her legacy of faith, love, and resilience will live on in all who were blessed to call her wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend
