David Gonzales Huizar, 61 years of age, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 in San Antonio, TX.

David was born in San Antonio, TX on February 8, 1964. He grew up on the westside of San Antonio and graduated from John Jay High School. He was known for his giving heart and was the primary caregiver for his father Albert G. Huizar Sr.

He is preceded in death by his mother Viviana G. Gabrillo and stepfather Henry F. Gabrillo. Survived by his father Albert G. Huizar Sr and three brothers, oldest brother Roy (Elvia) Huizar, younger brothers Albert (Monica) Huizar Jr and Gilbert (Michelle) Huizar. Also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews.

He will always be remembered for his calm personality, giving heart and helping those most in need.

A visitation will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 415 S. Business IH-35, New Braunfels, Texas, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a funeral service at 6:30 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery II at 1:30 pm. Everyone will meet at the cemetery for the service.
