Daniel Faz, Jr., age 51, entered into rest on Monday March 2, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 31, 1963 in Del Rio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel B. Sr. and Gloria Faz. Daniel was an amazing husband and a great father. He had many values, and he instilled them into his children to shape their characters and help them find their faith in God. Even in his darkest moments he shared his wisdom and grace with everyone around him. Danny loved watching sports. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, the North Carolina Tar Heels, the Longhorns, and especially the Del Rio Rams. He went to every game that the Rams played in but not only to see the football team, he especially went to see the marching band half time show. He was a band dad and went to every band competition that he was able to and helped out in any way that he could. All of the band students loved having him around because he would make everyone laugh and was always a huge support. Daniel was a great husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend and he will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 20 years Cynthia Nanez Faz, daughters; Clarissa Faz, Victoria Faz, Kristen Salazar (John), and Jessica Faz. Sons; Danny Faz III (Paloma) and Jason Faz (Nicole). Sisters; Linda Velasquez (Freddy), Becky Mendoza (Vicente), and Jessica Blanco. Grandchildren; Ethan Faz, Hannah Faz, and Abigail Faz. Visitation will be held Friday March 6, 2015 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday March 7, 2015 1:00PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honor of Pallbearers: Abraham Ortiz, Juan Carlos Fuentes, Gerardo Meza, Adam Biscaino, Pochie Faz, Juan Gomez, Jr., and Antonio "Tony" Faz III. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
