Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all he met, Curtis William Roedl, of Canyon Lake, Tx on May 12, 2024 he was 58 years old. Curtis was dedicated to his community and an avid supporter of military veterans. As a proud Army veteran himself, Curtis advocated for many veterans, helping them understand veteran benefits and walking them through the process of how to get them, as well as just being a friend that listened. A Passionate reader and history buff, he was also zealous fisherman with many tall tales of his fishing adventures. His mischievous sense of humor was addicting, as he always had a good joke to tell. He was Predeceased by his step father, Kenneth Hamstra and his brother, Leland Ray Roedl Jr. He is survived by his wife, Alana, mother, Wanda Hamstra, father Leland Ray Roedl, Sr, his daughter, Amy Roedl and Son-in-law Leif Clapp, grandchildren; Jacob, Grace and Lily, His sister, Nikki Roedl-Littlepage and her fiancé Shawn Waldrip; and nieces, Emma and Elie, his sister in law Nicole Roedl and niece, Mary Kayla. Services to honor Curtis's life will be held at 11:45am, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 atSunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 415 S. Business 35 New Braunfels, Texas.Interment to follow at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
