Craig I. Anderson, age 75 of New Braunfels passed away Friday, June 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1941 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Leon Preston Anderson and Almira Pierce Anderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Verizon after several years of dedicated service. He was married to Gale Thompson Anderson for 43 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Gay Healy and Phyllis Carlson and his brother Eldridge Buxton. He is survived by his loving wife Gale A. Anderson; sons Christopher Brad Anderson and his wife Christine of Canton, New York, Craig Anderson of Cibolo, Texas; daughter Cara Gale Fox and her husband Robert of Woodbridge, Virginia and a sister Frances Strobbe and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home from 5 PM to 9 PM. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 9:15 AM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Those wishing to follow in procession to the cemetery are asked to be at the funeral home located at 415 S. Business 35 by 8 AM on Friday morning.
