1981 – 2026

Christopher Paul Gonzales, 44, passed away on April 13, 2026, at his home in Bulverde, Texas.

Christopher was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Herbey Gonzales and Shirley Guerra. He attended Churchill High School and graduated in 1999. While still a senior in high school, Christopher began his first job with Clear Channel Communications. He later changed careers to follow in his father's footsteps and became an aircraft mechanic, working for various aircraft companies over the years.

From an early age, Christopher developed a deep love for hunting and fishing, a passion nurtured by his father that created a lifelong bond between them. Family members recall seeing photos of Christopher and his father hunting and fishing together when Christopher was as young as 4 years old. That love for the outdoors remained with him throughout his life and became one of the things he was most known for.

Everyone who knew Christopher knew how much he loved fishing and hunting. On holidays and whenever he had free time, he would pack up the truck, gather his kids, and head to the coast to put the boat in the water and make lasting memories.

Above all, Christopher was a dedicated father who worked hard to provide the best he could for his children. He was a man of passion, conviction, and dedication to both his family and his work. He will be remembered for his strong spirit, his love for the outdoors, and the deep love he had for his children.

Christopher is survived by his son, Ethan Fisher Gonzales; his daughter, Emma Sophia Gonzales; his father, Herbey D. Gonzales (Diana), his mother, Shirley R. Guerra (Willie), his brother, Hunter Paul Gonzales (Janie), and their children Hunter and Janie, his stepbrother Antonio Guerra, his maternal grandparents, Paul and Carmen Ramirez, and many aunts and uncles.

Christopher was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Maria T. Gonzales and his stepbrother, Christopher L. Guerra.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cremation, 415 S. Business 35, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. Viewing will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the Rosary from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Following the viewing, cremation will take place in accordance with Christopher's wishes.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and in every sunrise, every cast of a fishing line, and every quiet moment spent outdoors.
