Obituary

Charles Allen Gray, 60 years young, entered into rest Monday, February 7, 2022, in Seguin, Texas. He was born March 22, 1961 in Bakersfield, California. Charles Gray was known as "Charlie" or as others said "Big Papi." He lived for his family; wife, Peggy Gray; sisters, Cheryl Hudspeth, Cindy and Aletha; his children, Bethany Gray, Brian Gray, Nathan Gray, MaKayla Gray, Charles Tanner Gray; and his grandchildren, Braydon Gray, Austin Lucas, Blaine Gray, Jackson Gray, Lincoln Gray, and Gracelynn Gray. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Gray and Betty Louise Gray. Charlie was an incredible husband, father, and friend. Charlie was fueled by the smell of fresh ground coffee, and the last light of a red 72 Marlboro smoke, the laughter of his children and the good morning text messages to and from Jason Stehle. He thrived at being the best educational and successful truck driver, as he would say, "Stay two car lengths away, always." Charlie was a worker, the type rarely found these days. He was the first to show and the last to stay. Charlie was a proud American. He not only flourished on knowing his wife had a full tank of gas every Sunday morning, but also going to the grocery store aisle shopping for that new product to bring home. Charlie was a quiet man and content at knowing his children were secure in the world. He was hard working, mind driven, and protective of what was his. Charlie was always the first to call for any situation, big or small. His brutal honesty was attached with memorable advice. Charlie loved the smallest moments from giving out way too many treats to Moose & Cooper James to stalking his Facebook for the best memes for everyone to enjoy. Charlie was always there. Charlie Gray was a man who loved unconditionally without saying a word. He was only a phone call or text away without hesitation. Charlie was proud. He was extremely proud of each of his children's achievements. As he would always end by saying, " Trump 2024 and take a shot of Rumple Minze. We will all need it."
