Charles Thomas (Tom) Barret was born on June 3, 1932 in Marshall, Texas and went to be with be with the Lord on January 13, 2021. Son of Charles Thomas Sr and Rubi and survived by his wife Sharon Barret. Tom received his master's degree from TCU and after graduation served in the US Army. He loved his country and never failed to thank the military and service men and women for their service. He was proud to have earned his CPA license and worked for Lockheed Martin in his early career. He later had the honor of traveling through Europe and the Middle East during his years working for General Dynamics. He retired in 1995. Tom was an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Ft Worth Texas and active in supporting Meals on Wheels and Lighthouse for the Blind in Fort Worth, TX. After marrying Sharon in 1997, they enjoyed traveling the world together. Tom was loved by people for his outgoing personality and never met a stranger. They moved to Del Rio in 2015 and fell in love with the town and the people. Many around town knew him simply as "Tom". A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
