Carolyn Dolbee Dutson died on Aug. 19, 2024. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 1950, to Jack and Ruth Dolbee. Her father was career military, so she started school in Germany, lived many places around the globe, and graduated from Eastern Hills high school in 1968.
Carolyn loved playing trumpet and celebrated her 18th birthday in Thule, Greenland while on one of two USO tours with the Serenader jazz band. She earned her music degree from Texas Woman's University while traveling & entertaining our troops abroad.
She is survived by her husband Todd Dutson of 35 years, sons Kevin Stuessy & wife Casey, Jason Brown & wife Debin, & Travis Dutson & wife Nocona plus many amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by Debra Hayden (daughter).Carolyn was passionate about living life to the fullest and enjoying every moment. She loved cooking, fishing, eating in nice restaurants, girlfriend trips full of laughter, relaxing & having wine with friends,RV trips with her husband & Candi Apple, cruises to Europe wearing her raspberry beret in Paris, walking her puppy at the beach, and especially anything that involved Disney, cruises, and Family.
Her message to family and friends - "I had the time of my life on earth with each of you. I am now beginning my journey with our Lord so be happy for me. I will always be with you…watch for cardinals."
