Caleb Scott Mashburn, age 29, of San Marcos,Texas along with his loving partner, Jasmine Wimberly, age 26 also of San Marcos, tragically passed away on August 23, 2025. Jasmine held onto this world for a few more hours but joined Caleb on the morning of August 24, 2025.

Caleb was born on June 6, 1996 in Iowa City, Iowa. Known for his resiliency in life, passion for cars, especially his Volkswagens, skateboards, and his undying love for his dogs. Caleb had a way of making those around him laugh and feel his charismatic wit, at times with just a simple look. Caleb would help a complete stranger in times of need, especially if that was to help with a car problem, but with that came his very detailed explanation of the process. Caleb lived life fearlessly from the day he entered this world to the moment he left it. He was as authentic as they came, devoted to those he cared for, and you always knew where you stood with him.

Caleb is survived by his father, Cody Craig Mashburn of Plano, Texas; his mother Lisa Culp; his sister Olivia Grace Mashburn and brother Benjamin Robert Mashburn; his cherished grandparents, Victor and Debra Mashburn of Ft. Worth, Texas and Kenneth and Holly Culp of Swisher Iowa; his loving aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and countless friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Caleb's life will be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society would be a fitting tribute to Caleb's love of his dogs, Henry and Ruski.
