Bruce Robert Forester, age 54, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Texas City, Texas. He was born on March 17, 1967, in Ciudad Acuña Coahuila, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents George Hamlett Forester and Maria Tayde Forester. Left to treasure his memory is his partner of 10 years Maria Sanchez; his children Jacob Forester, Ayla Forester, Bruce Forester Jr., George Forester and Monika Forester; grandchildren Nyellie Cubas, Nicholas Forester, and Nady Forester; sisters Leticia Anguiano, Alma Julia Valdez and husband Raul Valdez, Winnie J Forester; brothers Mario Armando Arraniaga, George Hamilton Forester, Joe Forester and wife Hermelinda Forester, and several nieces and nephews. Bruce enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in January 1987 and served until March 1991. During his enlistment, he was deployed to Desert Storm. Throughout his military time he received several honors including Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Meritorious Mast, and a Letter of Appreciation. Aside from serving for his community and country, and spending time with his family, his true passion was wrestling. As an adult he and his brother Joe started a Wrestling Company Slam Wrestling Confederation (SWC) where they would travel around Texas and Mexico participating in wrestling matches. Bruce enjoyed wrestling and being a part of the wrestling community. He was given the nickname "Mexican Pitbull" for his relentless energy in the ring. If anyone knew Bruce, they knew his love for the sport. He will be remembered by many for his giving nature, hard work ethic, charming personality and his love for his family and wrestling. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 3:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Military Honors will be rendered by United States Marin Corps and American Legion Post 595. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
