Obituary for Bobby Jack Kendrick Bobby Jack Kendrick was born March 16, 1948 in Pecos, Texas to Sam and Darlene Kendrick. He was the third of 5 siblings. He grew up in West Texas, and graduated from Odessa High School. He married right out of high school, and was the father of 4 children. He worked with his father, paint contracting, for many years, before moving to Oklahoma, to work for Phillips Petroleum. But his heart was always in Texas! He moved back, a couple of years later, to be near his family. He worked in the corrections system in Lockhart, for many years, before helping to start up, and manage his family's restaurant. He finally settled in New Braunfels, where he retired. Bob was a man of many talents. He had a beautiful singing voice, and was a skilled carpenter, painter and mechanic. He loved to learn. He took classes in government, politics and history after he retired. He is survived by his mother Darlene Kendrick, 4 children; Bobby, Sheila, Jason and Laura. 3 sisters; Alta, Peggy and Susie, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He is preceded in death, by his father, Sam Kendrick and his brother, Sandy Kendrick. Visitation will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A reception will be held following the service at 2637 Red Bud Way, New Braunfels, Tx. 78132. Everyone is welcome to join.
