In the early morning hours of July 18th, 2017 the stars above Del Rio, Texas shined a little brighter as Betty Sanderson Davee made her journey to heaven. She passed peacefully in her sleep while surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born May 2nd, 1932 in Del Rio, Texas to William and Lucy Sanderson. She was the second of four children in the Sanderson family. She had an older brother William, a younger brother Robert and a little sister Patsy. Betty lived her entire life in Del Rio. She married Herbert Witt Davee in 1952 and had three wonderful children, Henry, Patricia, and Nancy. Through the years Betty was very active in community organizations as well as her church, Grace Lutheran of Del Rio. Betty was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her her husband Herbert in 1984; parents William and Lucy Sanderson, as well as all of her siblings. She is survived by son Henry Davee (Lile) of Del Rio, Patricia DaVee of Victoria, and Nancy Davee Hill (Marvin) of Del Rio; grandchildren Yevette Nelson (Kevin) of Del Rio, Jovana Salazar (Cruz) of Georgetown, Mitzie Brandt (Owen) of Orange Grove, Raul Davee Hernandez of Del Rio, Amanda Craighead (Patrick) of Victoria, Colby Hill of Del Rio. Betty is also survived by numerous great-great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church located at 201 Western Drive, Del Rio, Texas. Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers will be Owen Brandt, Patrick Craighead, Parker Miller, Robert Chaney, Asa York and Armando Moreno. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
