Bertha Davalos Sandoval age 82, entered eternal life on August 22, 2014 in Del Rio, Texas.
Bertha Davalos Sandoval who is also known by her loved ones as Lala, Willa, Grandma Birthday, Buzzin' Bertha and Bertha was born July 12, 1932 to Jesus and Aurora Davalos.
Little did anyone know, she would spend her entire life nurturing, guiding, loving, and caring for everyone around her and those who knew her well enough always knew she was getting the last word...EVERYTIME.
Through the good and bad times, Bertha was the "solid" stead fast rock for her entire family. She eagerly accepted the duties of housewife/mother/grandmother/great-grandmother and great-great grandmother for 60 years and after all the many loving and challenging years she has put her apron away and given us her temporary resignation for she has been called home to be with our savior. Remember the resignation is only temporary because in her new duties (which comes with sign-on bonuses of stress free environment, guaranteed job security and a family reunion that will last for eternity), Bertha will be looking over all us from a new angle in brighter light and will be at our side whenever we need comfort or to talk. This new duty wasn't given freely but earned through her un-wavering faith in the lord Jesus Christ.
Her spirit will carry on through her husband, Jose` Sandoval, Son Gus Sandoval and Carol. Daughters Dora Terrazas and Ruben, Mona King and Jonathan, Elena Reinier and Clint, 13 Grandchildren, 13 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grand Child. Her surviving siblings are Jesus "Junior" Davalos, Terry Frerich, Oralia Cortez, and Emma Esqueda.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brackettville Sunset Funeral Home in Brackettville, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 10:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
