Beatriz P. Hernandez, age 83, entered into rest on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on January 25, 1941.She was preceded in death by Francisco Javier Hernandez (son), Roman Puente and Paulina Puente Esquivel (parents).

Beatriz Puente Hernandez passed peacefully surrounded and supported by her loving family during her last days of life. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and daughter. Beatriz married Jesus G Hernandez in 1960 and 8 children were born from this beautiful union. After starting their family they then continued their life in Del Rio, Texas where she then got to see her children, grandchildren and some great grandchildren grow. Beatriz devoted herself to her family and God at an early age. She always showed her family the importance of putting God first. In her free time Beatriz enjoyed to read her bible, go to church and pray with and for others. She was well known for her loving and healing spirit. If one was sick she knew just the right prayer for comfort and the best cup of hot tea. Beatriz enjoyed spending time with her family in her home alongside her husband. Their living room was the background for many photographed cherished memories with her loved ones. She also loved to spend time relaxing in bed, playing a game of sudoko and completing crossword puzzles for fun. Beatriz P. Hernandez is remembered as the pillar of strength for her family.

Survived by husband of 64 years, Jesus G. Hernandez. Sons; Jesus Hernandez Jr., Gustavo Hernandez, Mario Hernandez, David Hernandez. Daughters; Beatriz Renteria, Maria Isabel Castillo, and Raquel Hernandez; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her absence leaves a void in our hearts but her legacy of love lives on forever. Gone but never forgotten, The rock of the Hernandez family.

The visitation will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

A chapel service will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers (Grandsons); Francisco Javier Hernandez, Jr., Joel Hernandez, Josue Angel Hernandez, Gustavo Hernandez Jr., Daniel Rodriguez Jr., Carlos Valenzuela, Salvador Castillo, and Jorge Luis Castillo.

The interment will follow at Sunset  Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
