Beatriz D. Guzman, age 91, entered into rest on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on April 13, 1928 in Del Rio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Fortino Guzman, Sr. and Ninfa De Leon. Miss Guzman graduated as Valedictorian of the 1948 Senior class from Sacred Heart Academy and was a seamstress at the family business until the flood of '98 Left to cherish her memory are her brother Fortino Guzman, Jr. and wife Diamantina; sister Dionicia Cardenas; aunt Rebecca Gonzales. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 PM and will be led by Mr. Jose Vilema at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honor of being Pallbearers are: Miguel Angel Cardenas, Andre Cardenas, Elijha Cardenas, Oscar Gonzalez, Evan Rivera, and Roy Rivera. Honorary Pallbearers are: Chris Cothren, Javier M. Guzman, Ethan Cothren and Mark Cardenas. Interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
