Aurora L. Chon, age 81, journeyed her way back home to the Lord and her husband of 47 years on Sunday, June 10, 2007 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born September 3, 1925 in Del Rio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus R. Chon, parents Espiridion and Lydia Leyva. She was a proud and dedicated wife to Jesus R. Chon for 57 years, of which 10 of those years, she stayed married to him spiritually and waiting to be reunited with her beloved husband. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Maria De Jesus Chon Guajardo of Del Rio, Lydia Chon also of Del Rio and Enereyda Chon Kudzia of Universal City, TX. Brothers: Pedro Leyva Sr. and Espiridion Leyva Jr., sister Magdalena Perez of Eagle Pass, Texas. Grandchildren : Monica I. Rodriguez, Jennifer Tambunga, Marcos Guajardo Jr., Marco Antonio Guajardo, Melissa Bryant, Timothy V. Kudzia and Melanie Gainer. Great-grandchildren: Kyana M. Rodriguez, Amber R. Tambunga, Dawn, Bethany and Lauryn Guajardo, Antonio Rene, Giovanni, Jazmin Guajardo, Jeremy Kaitlyn, Jordan and Daniel Bryant. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 5:00PM-9:00PM, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday June 13, 2007, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, time pending. Pallbearers: Reuben Morales, Pedro Leyva Jr., Gerardo Leyva, Caesar Leyva, Luis Leyva and Marcos Guajardo Jr.. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
