Aubrey Levi Constable, age 81, of New Braunfels passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Christus Santa Rosa, New Braunfels. He was born October 2, 1933 in Santa Anna, TX to Herman L. Constable and Hester Crews Constable. As a child he attended Churchill School and was a 1950 graduate of New Braunfels High School. Aubrey married Dorothy Arleen Kypfer on June 1, 1958 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Geronimo. He was employed with Union Pacific Railroad for 42 years. He played with the Hi-Toppers Orchestra for 38 years and served in the Army National Guard of Texas 36th Infantry Division Band for many years. Aubrey served on the church council at Friedens United Church of Christ and served on the Board of Directors for the Texas International Skat Players Association. He was a lifetime member of the Barbarossa Bowling Club, a member of New Braunfels Elks Lodge #2279, the Comal County Sportsman Club and was a member of the National Association of Retired & Veteran Railway Employees. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Robert Constable, a brother Herman L. Constable, Jr. and his wife Lillie, a sister Virginia Bussell and her husband Martin. Aubrey is survived by his wife of 56 years Dorothy K. Constable; son Galen Constable and his girlfriend Christina Pena; sister-in-law Alice Buck; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Karl Zipp; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Friedens United Church of Christ, 2555 Friedens Church Road, Seguin, Texas 78155, with Rev. Sonja and Dave Phillips and Aubrey's nephew the Rev. David Pantermuehl officiating. Interment will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery immediately following the memorial service. A reception to follow at Friedens Activity Center. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Friedens Capital Campaign Fund at Friedens United Church of Christ in Geronimo.
