Anthony S. Longo, age 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on June 8, 1939, in Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. Longo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Anthony was married to his first wife, Maria de la Luz Longo, for 58 years. After her passing, Anthony married Maria Myrna Longo, and they were happily married for 7 years.

Anthony served his country with pride. He served 4 years in Vietnam, 20 years in the United States Air Force, and later worked 38 years with the Department of Defense. He received many awards from the Department of Defense for his outstanding duties.

He was also an active member of several organizations, including the Knights of Columbus and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he served as treasurer.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Myrna Longo, his sons, Anthony Longo (Deborah), Michael Longo (Juanita), and David Longo. He was a proud grandfather to Cesar, Vanessa, Michael, Anthony S., Cascidine, David James, Kimberly, Jennifer, and Brooke, and he was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.

Anthony was a loving and caring man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas.

Visitation will continue Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM; followed by a Chapel service at 10:00 AM Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
