Rev. Andres Nu�o, age 57, a hero of the faith went to be with his Lord on November 25, 2008, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born May 16, 1951 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Rev. Andres Nu�o had truly �"fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith."� He was preceded in death by his parents Rafael Nu�o and Oralia Salinas. Rev. Andres graduated from Instituto Biblico Magdiel in Matamoros, and while there, he met his loving wife, Maria Elena Saenz. For the next 36 years, Rev. Andres traveled throughout Texas and did the work of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He pastored churches in Grand Prairie, Arlington, Wichita Falls, and finally in 1989, he came to Del Rio, TX. For the last 19 ½ years, Rev. Andres had ministered to the congregation of Templo Bethel. Nothing brought more joy to him than being in God"�s House! Up until the very end, Rev. Andres longed to be in church every Sunday morning. His heart"�s desire was to stand before his flock and bring them God"�s message for the day. For Rev. Andres, his calling to God"�s work was not only behind a pulpit. He LOVED designing and constructing church buildings for the Lord. His last effort at construction was a small church in Cienegas named Aposento Alto. Rev. Andres leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Maria Elena Nu�o, his two sons, John Andrew and Christopher Ray, and his daughter Melissa Ann Nu�o Mayor (Robert). Mrs. Maria Elena Nu�o and her children would like to extend a very special thank you to the congregation of Templo Bethel, Dr. Jose Antonio Maeda, and the Val Verde Hospice Care Center (Bonnie and Myra). The special care, attention, and prayers will never be forgotten. Also, Mrs. Nu�o would like to especially thank her mother, Mrs. Dora Saenz, her sister, Sylvia Perez, and Ray and Liz Saenz for the time and support they gave her during this time. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 27, 2008, from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Prayer Service at 7:00PM. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 28, 2008, at Templo Bethel, at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
