Anastacia Guzman, age 90, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on December 2, 1929 to Francisco Diaz and Patricia Lozano in Rancho Las Conchas, Durango Mexico. She met and fell in love with Guadalupe E. Guzman; they married and had six beautiful children. She lived in Del Rio for most of her life. She was a devoted Catholic, who loved being a wife, mother, and a "Welita." She will be missed, but we also know she is where she wanted to be, with her husband in heaven. "Thank you Mamita for protecting and loving us… hasta luego Mamita linda." She is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe E. Guzman; her parents Francisco and Patricia; 3 brothers, Salvador, Andres and Victor Diaz; and sister Josefina Alaniz. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bertha (Ricardo) Cepeda of Austin Texas; Guadalupe D (Magda) Guzman of Del Rio; Jaime D (Dora) Guzman of Del Rio; Maria del Carmen Briones of Del Rio; Jose Nicolas Guzman of San Antonio; Ana Luisa "Leesa" (Michael) Reno of Burkburnett Texas; sister Manuela Boston of Del Rio; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery; a live stream will begin at 9:00 AM through Sunset Memorial Oaks - Del Rio Facebook live page.
