Ana E. Sanchez, age 76, entered into rest on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on December 3, 1941 in Del Rio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Ignacio M. Avila and Francisca Garcia; brothers Ignacio G. Avila and Manuel Avila. Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 54 years Arturo C. Sanchez, Sr.; sons Arturo A. Sanchez, Jr. (Eva M.), Vicente Sanchez (Alma D.) and Modesto Sanchez (Laura); daughters Frances Gill (Timothy), Ana Garcia, Socorro Sanchez, Norma Y. Lomas (Juan), and Lydia Byrom (Albert Lee); brothers Abdon Avila and Arturo Avila; sister Maria Guadalupe Avila; 32 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the Honor of pallbearers are Arturo A. Sanchez, Jr., Vicente Sanchez, Modesto Sanchez, Christopher Lee Ramos, Edward Garcia, Jr., and John Anthony Sanchez; honorary pallbearers are Arturo Perez Sanchez, III, Vicente Sanchez, Jr., Modesto G. Sanchez, Jr., Jose Gomez, III, and Ramon Hernandez, Jr. Interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
