We are saddened for the passing of our beloved mother Amelia Ramirez age 86. Born December 3, 1935 in Choate, Texas. She was called by our lord and savior, on August 21, 2022, where she was received by her beautiful daughter Maria Isabel Soto. She loved to sing, dance, play bingo but her passion was helping and serving in church. Amelia had a heart of gold and she loved everyone unconditionally. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her children. Amelia is preceded in death by parents Elvira and Eduardo Mata and daughter Maria Isabel Soto. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Rosa Maria Salas, her husband Mario, Blanca Barrera, her husband Abel, Gloria Salinas, her husband George and son Johnny Ramirez. She is also survived by her brother Jorge Rogelio Mata. Grandchildren, Robert De La Rosa (wife Maria Lourdes), Juan Melendez Jr (wife Dee), Veronica Soto, Christina Rodriguez (Sergio), Diego Barrera (Jessica), Patricia Bell (Alex), Selina Laporte (Davin), Ryan Barrera, Nolan Barrera, Mark Salas, Claudia Patricia Ramirez and 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. + Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, 4:00pm-7:00pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 26, 2022, 12:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers; Roberto De La Rosa, Juan Melendez, Diego Barrera, Nolan Barrera, Ryan Barrera and Sergio Rodriguez Jr. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
