Obituary

Amalia "Molly" Aguirre Renovato, 88, slipped peacefully from this world on our day of independence and reflection, July 4, 2014. This Del Rio queen was born on June 20, 1926 to Fermin and Carolina Aguirre. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Silvestre Renovato, and daughter Martha Zuniga. Amalia is survived by her son, George Martinez and wife Beatrize, and son-in-law Ernesto Zuniga. She was also survived by her 2 brothers, 1 sister and sister-in-law: Simon Aguirre, Humberto Aguirre, Clara Calderon and Esperanza Aguirre; 6 grandchildren: Ernie Zuniga and wife Tammy, Cynthia Praszczalek and husband Przemek, Eddie Zuniga, Rocky Martinez and partner Dustin Herschap, Kathy Serrano and husband Joel, and Vicente Martinez; along with 11 great-grandchildren, Vince Martinez, Cedric Martinez, Alexander Andrade, Damion Martinez, Ava Zuniga, Sebastian Praszczalek, Alana Martinez, Luke Zuniga, Madeline Zuniga, Noah Praszczalek, and Xavier Serrano all whom loved her dearly. The family wants to give a very special thanks to Amanda Aguirre for all of her love and support during this time of loss. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 4-9PM, on Sunday, July 6th, 2014, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 North Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10AM on Monday, July 7th, 2014, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 511 Garza St., Del Rio, TX. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery under the direction of Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
