With love and cherished memories, the family of Alicia M. Zuniga announces her passing on April 15, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Alicia was born on August 31, 1941, in Del Rio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto Menchaca and Antonia Deleon Menchaca; sister, Marina Gonzalez († Ladislado); brothers, Efrain Menchaca (Maria), Victor Menchaca († Frances), Jose Menchaca (Yolanda), Antonio Menchaca († Alicia), and Armando Menchaca (Odilia).

Alicia M. Zuniga was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Gabriel M. Zuniga; 6 children: Edna Zuniga, Gabriel Zuniga Jr., Norma Z. DuMont, Gilbert Zuniga (Linda), Sylvia Z. Suda (Eddie), and Sandra Prosper (Jeffrey); Grandchildren: Kimberly Z. Copenhaver (David), Laurie Zuniga (Russell), Jeffrey DuMont Jr., Joseph Zuniga (Catherine), Ryan DuMont, Peter T. Jarvis, and Jon Suda (Marie); Great-Grandchildren: CJ Zuniga, Lainey Rose Zuniga. New addition to our family, Callum Joseph Zuniga, born on April 9, 2026, and Mom's Cat "Patches."

The visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the holy rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 509 W. Garza St., Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
