Alejandro Villarreal, Jr., age 76, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on November 29, 1940 in Del Rio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Alejandro and Leonor Villarreal; brothers Ricardo Villarreal and Emilio Villarreal; sisters Juanita Clark and Gloria Serofino. Left to cherish his memory is his; daughters Billie Jo Cruz and Belinda Hernandez and husband Frank, Jr.; step-son Anastacio Escareno and wife Patricia; brothers Pablo Villarreal, Alfredo Villarreal and wife Sue Ellen, Joey Villarreal and Danny Villarreal; sisters Rosa Shepard, Enriqueta Barrera and husband Ray and Leonor Villarreal; grandchildren Nina Marie Guajardo, Gary M. Cruz, Jr., Bianka Alarcon, Michael Lee Cruz, Regina Horky and Al Alarcon; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Gary M. Cruz Jr., Michael Lee Cruz, Al Alarcon Jr., Robert Guajardo Jr., Jeffrey Horky, and Buddy Bravo. Honorary pallbearers are Nina M. Guajardo, Bianka Alarcon, Regina Horky, Leighla Lee Alarcon, Gary M. Cruz III, and Izayah Cruz. Interment to follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
