Obituary

Buster Jamail (Albert Anthony Jamail Jr.) of Brackettville, Texas passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 82 at his home. At about the age of forty he moved to Brackettville where he started a deer leasing and ranching business.

He was born on December 4, 1941 in Galveston, Texas to the parents of Albert Anthony Jamail and Edith Cavell McCorvey Jamail. He had two siblings, Arrena Zelle Jamail Newton, (husband S. R. Newton, both deceased) of Galena Park, TX. and Allan Raymond Jamail (wife Linda) of Jacinto City, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Buster had 5 children, Kathy Swanzy, daughter (husband Chris), (granddaughters Christy Wootton, Candice Phoenix, Krystal Gutierrez), Bret Jamail, son (wife Debbie), Koy Jamail, daughter, (grandchildren, Zachary and Ashley Buyajian), Chad Jamail, son, and Tony Jamail, son of Brackettville (wife Samantha, deceased, grandchildren Landyn Alexis and Kinley Jo Jamail). He had 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Buster was raised in Galena Park, Texas beginning in 1945 at the age of three. He graduated from Galena Park High School and was a three year member of the Honor Society. He was a member of Piper Fitters Local Union 211 of Deer Park, TX. He received a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Houston's Rice University. Subsequently, he was employed as a nuclear power plant inspector. At age thirty he was baptized at the Galena Park Church of Christ in about 1971.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Kinney County Cemetery.
