Steven Michael Tyler, age 62, passed away on December 30, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Del Rio, Texas, the eldest son of Wilson and Licha (Garcia) Tyler on November 27, 1958. His elementary/middle school education was at Sacred Heart Academy and he graduated from Del Rio High School, Class of 1977 where he participated in track and field events of discus and shot-put. Steve spent a career in restaurant management, telecommunications, website development, customer service, as well as many other entrepreneurial interests. He loved high tech and enjoyed various hobbies. He was very fond of science fiction of all types but was, first and foremost, a Trekkie. He enjoyed collecting a variety of Star Trek memorabilia, comic books of all types (mostly of the superhero variety), baseball cards, as well as coin and currency. He was also a photography enthusiast and was a very capable amateur photographer in his own right. He enjoyed reunions with his high school Class of 1977. He took pride in establishing and maintaining the website and capturing photos of the many memories. Steve devoted countless hours in researching and preparing the genealogy of his family's history and sharing his discoveries with enthusiasm. Steve loved his nieces and nephews. He was always willing to play card games, dominoes or watch movies with them. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Licha (Garcia) Tyler, his paternal grandparents, Troy and Letha Tyler, and his maternal grandparents, Refugio and Maria Garcia. He is survived by his sisters Lisa (Eugene) Martinez of San Antonio, Texas and Laura (Randy) Najvar of Bulverde, Texas and brother, Wilson Jr. (Donnette) Tyler of San Antonio, Texas, his beloved nieces and nephews, Elisa Martinez, Kaytlyn Najvar, Troy Martinez, Tori Tyler, Ashley Najvar and Noah Tyler. Pallbearers will be nephews, Troy Martinez and Noah Tyler, cousins, Mike Garcia, Roberto Garcia and Roland Garcia, and dear friend Rene Martinez. Honorary pallbearer, is Steve's childhood friend Keith Wright. A private family service of remembrance will be held in Del Rio, Texas with interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
