Sara Jimenez Bejarano passed away peacefully in Del Rio, Texas surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at age 91.Born in Del Rio and daughter of the late Leandro Jimenez and the late Ester Reyes Jimenez. Beloved wife of Juan R. Bejarano, Sr. She was preceded in death by her son Juan (Johnny) Bejarano, Jr. (Velma) and beloved granddaughter Maricella J. Marines.

Devoted mother of Bibi Valdez (Efrain), David Anthony Bejarano (Mely), Cynthia B. Leyva (Raul), and son Louis Bejarano. Cherished grandmother of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren.

She was an avid homemaker, loved to cook, enjoyed gardening, sewing, she adored her FUR baby Coco, enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and was known and called by all "Ama"!

She will be greatly missed by all her family.

We would like to give special thanks to the Val Verde Regional Medical Hospital, Dr. A. Laing, Dr. Soto, Dr. Rebecca Fernandez, ICU and all the medical staff and Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren John Bejarano, III, Juan (J.R.) Jimenez, Jr., Andrew Bejarano, Cesar Jimenez, Jacob Bejarano, and Michael Aguilar. Honorary pallbearers are Paul S. Marines, David A. Bejarano, Jr., Efrain Valdez, and  Raul Leyva.

The interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
