Saida Uvalles Martinez, age 90, entered into rest on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Brackettville, Texas She was born July 9, 1924 in Brackettville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Virgino and Guadalupe Uvalles. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 70 years, Felipe Martinez. She was a devoted mother of Mary E. Garza and husband Manuel Garza, Mary M. Martinez, Virginia Cooksey and husband Richard Cooksey, Barbarita Terres, the late Abrosio Martinez, Jesus Martinez, Teresita Terrazas and her husband the late Ben Terrazas, Gloria Young and husband Charles Young, Felimon Martinez, Esmeralda Young and husband Rick Young, the Late Ricardo Martinez, Lydia A. Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez and wife Judy Martinez, the late Alberto Martinez. She was a dedicated grandmother of 40-grandchildren and 69-great-grandchildren and 4-great-great-grandchildren.Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Brackettville Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Recitation of the holy will be recited at 7:00PM both evenings. And visitation on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 11:00AM-12:00PM with a Rosary at 11:00AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 12:00PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honors of pallbearers, Jesus Martinez, Filemon Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez, Eric Martinez, Mathew Martinez and Manuel Garza. Interment to follow at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
