Pablo Garza, age 88, entered into rest April 15, 2009, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born October 14, 1920 in Rio Grande City, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army and was a WWII Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Higinio and Gertrudes Garza, 7 brothers and sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Eva B. Garza. Daughters; Noelia Garza Alvarado and husband Severo, Zidlayin Knight and husband Robert, Irene Ponce and husband Rudy, Elizabeth Carter and husband Don. Sister Manuela Ramon. Grandchildren; Renee Knight, Paul Knight, Ponciano Ponce, Andrew Ponce, Javier Ponce, Jennifer Carter, Mathew Carter. 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Gentlemen left with the honor of Pallbearers: Mathew Carter, Paul Williams, Ponciano Porras, Andrew Porras, Javier Porras and Hayden Porras. Visitation will be held Friday, April 17, 2009, 5:00pm-9:00pm, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009, 10:00am, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Military Honors will be conducted by Ft. Sam Houston Honor Guard and American Legion Post #595. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
