Luisa Arredondo Vasquez, age 102 , entered into rest January 24, 2008 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on August 9, 1905 in Cuatro Cienegas, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Victoria Fernandez and Jose Arredondo. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Alfredo P. Vasquez and grandson George Anthony Maldonado. Luisa was always inspiring to others, instilled love amongst family, and aspired for her children to strive for a higher education. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Matilde Constancio and husband Eduardo, Laura V. Lopez and husband Ben (Tirso), Alcira Guerra and husband Ralph, sons: Antero Vasquez and wife Celia, Eloy Vasquez and wife Rosie. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 28, 2008 at 10:00AM at El Principe De Paz United Methodist Church. Pastor Ruby Santibanez officiating. Interment to follow at San Felipe Cemetery. Gentlemen left with the honor of serving as Pallbearers Dr. Robert Eloy Vasquez, Fernando Maldonado Jr., Richard Lee Serrano, Segundo Guajardo III, Belinda Timberlake, and P.J. Velasquez.
