Maria del Rosario Gutierrez Rubin, 88, of Del Rio, Tx, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020. She was born on February 12, 1932 in Del Rio. Preceded in death by her parents: Rosalio Gutierrez and her mother Maria Luisa Del Pozo Gutierrez, her husband Morris Rubin, three brothers, Raul Gutierrez, Erasmo Gutierrez and Oswaldo Gutierrez, also one sister Angelina Gutierrez. Survived by her brother Juan Antonio Gutierrez (Mary) of San Antonio, TX, her sister Maria Luisa Gutierrez of Del Rio, TX. Niece and nephew, Eddie Gutierrez (Marilyn), Arnoldo Gutierrez (Ruby) and Cecilia Melendez (Juan) and a host of great-nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Velia Pina, Maria Elena del Pozo and Berta Guajardo for all the love and care given to "Chayo" during her lifetime especially during her last days. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A Rosary will be read on Thursday at 6:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with interment following at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
