Maria De La Torre, age 97, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 20, 2015 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born February 26, 1918 in San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Dario De La Torre, her sons Juan Jose and Gonzalo De La Torre, parents Crispin and Leonor Rodriguez, , her brothers Jesus, Feliciano, Secundino, Rufino, Vicente Rodriguez, her sisters Juanita, Ricarda and Aurelia Rodriguez. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Gilberto and Francisco Guadalupe De La Torre, her daughters Bertha De La Torre, Maria de los Reyes, Maria Carvajal, Juan Elena Genera and Frances De La Torre Ortiz. Her brother Juan Rodriguez, her sisters Tomasa and Luz Rodriguez, 42 Grandchildren, 69 Great-Grandchildren and 12 Great- Great- Grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 3:00 PM-9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Gentleman with the honor of pallbearers Luis Ortiz, Eric De La Torre, Jorge Genera, Lazaro Carvajal, Dario De La Torre and Eliseo Moreno. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
