Josefa Hernandez, age 71, entered into rest on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born September 1, 1943 in Purisima, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her father, Santos Navarro. Son, Felipe Hernandez III, Sister Teresa Ramirez and son-in-law Alfredo Velasquez. Josefa married the love of her life, Felipe on April 12, 1961 in Madero Del Rio, Mexico. She enjoyed gardening, watering her plants and going to Church. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Felipe Hernandez. Daughters, Mary Roman and husband Santos, Delia Velasquez, Rosenda Olivo and husband Israel. Sons, Uvaldo Hernandez and wife Julia, Roberto Hernandez and wife Amabilia, Rolando Hernandez and wife Fatima. Mother, Feliz Ruiz. 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Prayer Service at 7:00PM. Chapel Service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2015, 10:00am, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Gentlemen with the honors of Pallbearers will be, Uvaldo Hernandez, Roberto Hernandez, Francisco Navarro, Rolando Hernandez, Hervey Navarro and Uvaldo Hernandez, Jr. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
