Jose Ramiro Martinez, age 86, entered into rest on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 19, 1932 in Del Rio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Petra Martinez and second wife Ersilia Martinez; a son Jose Luis Martinez; parents Ramon Martinez and Maria Navarro; and a grandson Abel Ojeda, Jr. Left to cherish his memory are his sons Armando Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez and wife Gracie; Jose R. "JJ" Martinez, Jr. and wife Suzie, Eugenio Martinez and wife Ruth; daughters Patricia M. Ojeda and husband Abel, and Sara Barrera; daughter-in-law Kimberly Martinez; sister Consuelo Reveles; 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
