Irene M. de Anda was born in Laredo, TX on March 10, 1944 and passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Del Rio, TX. She was 77.
Trustworthy, diligent, devoted, faithful, loyal, quick witted, fun-loving, and opinionated are just a few of the many descriptors people have used recently when sharing memories of Irene.
She was well known locally as a dedicated and principled immigration notary and tax preparer - a career she was proud of and held until only a few years ago. She found purpose in assisting countless clients in their time of need, many of whom stayed in contact with her because they knew she would join them in celebrating their personal and professional accomplishments.
To say Irene loved to read is an understatement. You could find her checking out books regularly at the local library as well as purchasing them from garage sales and used bookstores - no book was a bad book according to Irene.
She wore many hats throughout her life, but none were more important to her than being a wife to Chris and a mother to her children - Rene, Gabriela, and Michael.
Irene is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Cresencio de Anda, son Rene (Elizabeth), daughter Gabriela, son Michael, and the 5 greatest joys of her life - her grandsons Aaron, Andres, Adan, Adrian, and Juvencio.
A graveside service is planned for Friday, October 29 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you mail/email a special story or memory of Irene. She impacted many lives, and the family would be truly blessed to be able to revisit these memories for years to come.
