Hermelinda Paz, age 92, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on June 17, 1929 in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Virginia Contreras Lozano. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 73 years, Mateo Paz. Sons; Roberto, Felix, Lauro Hector, Eduardo, Mateo Jr., and Jorge Paz. Daughters; Rosa Maria Paz de Peña, Maria Esther Paz de la Garza, Virginia Paz de Torres, Blanca Olinda Paz de Quintero, Gladys Paz de Kalinchuk. Sister, Maria Contreras de Balderas. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Roberto, Felix, Hector, Mateo Jr., Jorge Paz and Abelardo Kalinchuk. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
