Guadalupe Borrego Cerda, age 82, entered into rest December 2, 2008, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born August 18, 1926 in Langtry, Texas. He served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. He worked for the City of Sanderson for 20 years, then moved to Del Rio where he worked for Sears for 27 years and retired in 1986. He was preceded in death by parents Jesus and Herlinda Cerda. Sisters; Ana Garcia and Dora Mueller, brother, Polo Cerda. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 34 years, Adelina Cerda. Sons: Hector Cerda of Arizona, Steve Cerda of Seguin, Guadalupe �"Sonny"� Cerda Jr., of Eagle Pass, Ed Campos and wife Stephanie of San Antonio, Larry Campos and wife Aida of Del Rio. Daughters Linda Kreuger and husband Andy of San Antonio, Brenda Hernandez of Del Rio, Mary Torres of Del Rio. Brothers Ramon Cerda and wife Tilley, Herminia and husband Ray Gutierrez, Chelo Lopez. Grandchildren: Jesus Cerda of Del Rio, M/Sgt Enrique Cerda and wife Beverly of Washington, Daniel Cerda and wife Christy, Lizzy Peterson, Roger Torres and wife Amy, Amanda Torres, Christian Torres, Ramiro Hernandez Jr., Michael Hernandez, Crystal Hernandez, Nathaniel Campos, Autumn Campos, Daniella Ortiz and Zachary Meacham. Great-grandchildren: Daniel Peterson, Kimberly Cerda, Christopher Cerda and Cameron Cerda. Those left with the Honor of Pallbearers: Lizzy Peterson, Enrique Cerda, Amanda Torres, Roger Torres, Crystal Hernandez, Ramiro Hernandez Jr.. Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2008, from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Chapel Services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2008, at 1:00PM, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Military Honors will be conducted by the US Army and American Legion Post 595. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
