Gloria Avila, age 59, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on November 7, 1958 in Del Rio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Ana Sandoval. Brother Javier Sandoval and sister Berta "Tita" Hernandez. Also by her Aunt and Uncle whom raised her as her own, Gaspar Sandoval and Teresa Villarreal. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Agapito Avila, daughter Brenda Garcia (David), son Gustavo Alonso Sandoval (Amber Resendez). Brothers Oscar Sandoval (Maribel), Pedro Sandoval, Ben Sandoval. Sister Olga Mtanous (Hector). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her love of music and animals especially her fur baby's Werra and Sammy. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearer; Pedro Sandoval, Jr., Pedro Sandoval III, Ricardo S. Hernandez III, Oscar Sandoval, Jr., Adrian A. Hernandez and Omar Mtanous. Honorary pallbearer Gustavo Alonso Sandoval. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
