Esperanza Ozuna, age 77, a lifelong resident of New Braunfels passed away
Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her residence. She was born November 26, 1937 in New
Braunfels, TX to Emilio Ozuna and Maria Campos Ozuna. She was preceded in death
by her parents, a sister Tomasa Garcia; brother's Carmen Ozuna, Jesus Ozuna and
Hector Ozuna; and life companion Frank Reyes. She was a member of Holy Family
Catholic Church and the Union Mutua of Marion, TX. Esperanza enjoyed the company
of her family and the trips to visit shrines in San Juan, TX and Mexico. She is
survived by her sons Raul Paredez, Robert Paredez and his companion Patty, and
Ruben Paredez; daughters Carolina Cantu Herrera and Roseanne Navarro and her
husband Eric; brothers Guillermo "Willie" Ozuna and Juan Ozuna; sisters Emma
Ozuna, Beatrice Ortiz, Frances Luna, Janie Aleman and Ester Acevedo; eight
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and
nephews
Visitation will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 from 5 PM until 8:30 PM at the Holy
Family Catholic Church, 245 S. Hidalgo Ave. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM.
Visitation continues Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 10 AM until 10:45 AM at Holy
Family Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 AM
celebrated by Rev. James Wasser, M.S.F. Interment will follow in the Saints
Peter & Paul Cemetery #2. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jaime Aleman,
Jr. and Ronald Sattiewhite. Active pallbearers are Juan Ozuna, Jr., Albert Ozuna, Alfredo Ozuna, Andy Martinez, David Martinez and Nicky Rodriguez.
The family of Ms. Ozuna would like to thank the staff of Christus Santa Rosa New
Braunfels, Guadalupe Regional Hospice, and Dr. Anthony Bordon for the excellent
care she received during her illness. Memorials may be made to Guadalupe
