Emma Sunderland, 80, entered into rest Sunday, March 10, 2019, in Del Rio, Texas. She was born June 10, 1938, in Edinburg, Texas. She was the daughter of Felix Reyes and Gregoria Molina-Reyes. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Carl G. Sunderland, Jr. and sons James L. Sunderland, Sr. and Carl G. Sunderland, III; her sister Hilda Ramirez and brother Isael Reyes, Sr. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Judy A. Sunderland-Altemeyer; son Randall L. Sunderland and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A woman of unwavering Seventh Day Adventist faith; Emma dedicated her time, duties and responsibilities to her family and all were blessed to have time with her. She filled the lives of her family and those who knew her with boundless spirit, faith, and unconditional love. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Prayer service at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 9:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
