Elia Barrientos Lopez, age 78, entered into rest on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on June 5, 1938 in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was preceded in death by her Parents Octaviano and Hortencia Barrientos; Brothers, Raul Barrientos and Alfredo Barrientos; and her Son, Alvaro Lopez Jr. Elia was a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. She would enthusiastically participate in all her Sons activities, an avid fan at Popword Field and Roosevelt Park Baseball games. Elia retired from SFDRCISD after 35 years of dedicated service. Elia will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband Alvaro Lopez Sr.; her Sons, Roberto Lopez (Kelly), Ricardo Lopez (Viola) and Juan Lopez (Anabelia); her Grandchildren Cristina Strong (Evan), Mandy Root (Collin), Sandy Lopez, Juan Lopez Jr. (Ashley), Roberto Lopez, Alvaro Lopez III, and Brianna Lopez; Great Grandchildren Mikayla, Maria, Noah, Conner, Cameron, Gabby, Hayden, and Carson. She is also survived by Nieces & Nephews Elvira, Edna, Elva, Alfredo and Mario. Gentlemen with Honor of Pallbearers will be Juan Lopez Jr., Stevie Ray Bravo, Alvaro Lopez III, Reggie Jimenez, Roberto Lopez, Brandon Bravo. Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
