Diane Garza November 28, 1953 October 9, 2012 Diane Garza age 58, entered into rest October 9, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born November 28, 1953. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Petra Garza of Brackettville, Tx, sister Maria Guadalupe Fuentes of Brackettville, Texas. Nephew Mark Adrian Garcia of Brackettville, Texas. She served two terms on the Brackett I.S.D. Board of Trustees in the 1980"�s. And she also served one term on the Brackettville City Council women and as Mayor pro-tem from 1990 to 1992. Donated an extended amount of time to various city organizations including youth sports organizations in Brackettville, Owned and operated City Grocery and Market, a family business, from 1989 thru 1992 in Brackettville. Dedicated most of her life to the medical and social fields. She worked as field supervisor with the Val Verde Home nurses for the last eighteen years in Del Rio, Texas. Left to cherish her memory is his her Son Jose I. Garza and wife Missy N. , Daughter Donda Zimmer and husband James. Grandchildren Deven R. Zimmer, Meekaela D. Zimmer, Landon J. Zimmer and Elijah J. Garza. Brothers Jose Garza and wife Rosie, Robert Garza. Sisters Gloria Garcia and husband Martin. Brother in-law Ben Fuentes. Gentlemen with the honor of Pallbearers: Jose I. Garza, James L. Zimmer, Joseph David "�J.D."� Garza, Martin Garcia Jr., Mark Garcia, Jr. and Ralph Garza. Honorary Pallbearers: Lucy Negrete, Sylvia Chairez, Jimmy Fernandez and Billy Guadiana. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Sunday October 14, 2012 from 3:00pm-9:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, October 15, 2012 10:00am at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 303 Ann Street Brackettville, Texas. Interment to follow at Kinney County Cemetery. Our mother was a strong, independent, and beautiful women who will be truly and deeply missed. We love you and will always miss you.
