Belia Villarreal Perez, 97, of Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico, and long-time resident of Del Rio, Texas, passed away on May 23, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rodolfo Perez, Sr., daughter, Julia Perez Gonzalez, grandson, Gerald Gonzalez; parents, Pedro and Julia Villarreal; siblings, Alicia Flores, Anacleto Villarreal, Jorge Villarreal, Arturo Villarreal; son-in-law, Javier Santellanes. Left to cherish her memory are children, Rodolfo (Berta) Perez Jr., Edna Perez Bermudez, Alma Perez Santellanes, son-in-law, Dee Gonzalez; grandchildren Hilario Gonzalez, Rodolfo (Christina) Perez III, Jorge Perez, Berta Alicia Perez, Gabriel Alejandro Perez, Raul (Isabel) Bermudez Jr., Hector Abel Bermudez, Alma (Mauricio) Rojas, Nerissa (John Michael) Winn, Yraida (Raul) Celedon, Jerrika Santellanes; great grandchildren "JJ" Gonzalez, Eliza Bermudez, Alina Bermudez, Alycia Bermudez, Krew Abel Bermudez, Andrew Jacob Perez, Serena Lynn Perez, Andrew Deharo, Rodolfo Mateo Perez, Gabriel Eduardo Perez, Marina Elena Perez, Liliana Maria Perez, Alyla-Denee Rojas, Nia Celedon, and Myla Celedon; sibling, Julia Berain. Belia "Maita" Perez had a gift of reaching people in a deep and positive way. She truly lived life to the fullest, from the simple pleasures of crafting, making tamales, baking galletitas, traveling, attending family sporting events, and playing at "las maquinitas." Her shared life stories, teachings, and ability to find true happiness in daily activities will forever be cherished. Maita was a pure example that age did not matter as she would always say "no importan los años, tengo 15 en el corazón." She will forever be admired as the life of the party, as her personality was contagious to everyone she encountered. Her greatest joys were her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Maita will be deeply missed and forever be celebrated as the matriarch of her family. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remebrance. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 5:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, May 30, 2022, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
